Mission and Vision

We are a college student-founded and student-run outreach initiative for high school students in the Houston area.  Now in its ninth year, the Young Owls Leadership Program continues its dedication to preparing its students for success.

We focus on preparing students from underserved communities in the Houston area, especially those who will be first-generation college students. We do so by designing our curriculum and programs around the college application process, college life, and both leadership and personal development. Doing so aligns with our mission to transform students into community leaders and competitive college applicants.

We strive for a world that provides all students with access to educational opportunities, regardless of their social, ethnic, or economic background. Our vision is to develop an environment that provides academic, cultural, and motivational resources to students from low-income backgrounds.
