Welcome to the Young Owls Leadership Program (YOLP) at Rice University!  Our mission is to prepare high school students as both leaders in their communities and competitive applicants to top-tier colleges and universities.

October 17, 2015: The Fall 2015 YOLP Reunion was a huge success!  We had 55 alumni from the past 3 years attend to catch up with their advisors and peers and connect about current and future college and career opportunities!

September 13, 2015: Check out the first-ever issue of the YOLP newsletter “Beyond the Week”!

September 9, 2015: The Fall 2015 YOLP reunion is set for Saturday, October 17 on the Rice University campus!  We will have food and a workshop about preparing for college.  And of course there will be friends and fun!  Be sure to RSVP on Facebook so we know you’re coming!

July 2015: YOLP is now on Twitter and Instagram!  Be sure to follow us for updates on our program and students.

June 8th, 2015: The 4th Young Owls Program (2015 cohort) was a success!  Check out the story published by Rice Media.

April 11, 2015: Alumni coordinators Vanessa and Zack organized yet another amazing reunion for the 2012, 2013, and 2014 cohorts!

November 2014: The alumni team hosted the fall semester reunion for YOLP cohorts!

November 9, 2013: The new alumni coordinators organized a successful reunion for this Saturday! Thank you to everyone who came out and enjoyed some bonding, candy, and sports with us! Be sure to keep track of the deadlines we discussed and don’t hesitate to send us your essays for revisions.
